Boeing's new CFO to Garner $1.56 million in salary, perks

Article Abstract:

The new chief financial officer of Boeing Co., Deborah C. Hopkins, will receive a salary of $1.56 million. This includes a 1999 salary, bonus, and a hiring-incentive payment. Ms. Hopkins's hiring incentive payment was $750,000. She became Boeing's chief financial officer and senior vice president in December 1998. Ms. Hopkins will receive a base salary of $450,000. She will also receive a minimum bonus of $360,000 in 1999.

Airbus plans to build the largest jumbo jet with a capacity for 650 passengers in a three-class seating plan or a capacity for approximately 1,000 passengers in a coach seating plan. Boeing plans to lengthen its 747.
