Greycoat's three steps to heaven

Article Abstract:

Greycoat Estates plan to reduce commercial building costs. Greycoat want a simplified form of contract in which architects' fees would not be calculated as a percentage of building costs. Fees would be calculated for each of the three stages of building development (planning, general design and detailed design) and would be negotiated, based on the time and resources actually needed. The proposal for reduced architects' fees are part of a general plan by Greycoat to reduce building costs. Greycoat argues that its plans will not reduce building quality.
