Integration of relationships and business network development in the Russian transition economy

Article Abstract:

Research on Russia's transition to a market economy shows that fragmented business relationships, or relationships that only include resource use dependence or exchange connections, are being replaced by integrated relationships, or relationships that incorporate both. Factors influencing this development are also discussed.

Activating trust: the redefinition of roles and relationships in an international construction project

Article Abstract:

The association between trust and predictability is examined for interorganizational relationships; findings show that trust is activated in different ways relating to various forms of learning and routines. The impact of a new contract for an international construction project is used as an illustration.

The political embeddedness of international business networks

Article Abstract:

Four aspects of political embeddedness of business networks are examined: political actors, political resources, political institutions, and the political activities of companies. Implications for furthering embeddedness as an industrial marketing and purchasing theory are discussed.
