Intel assails EU's claim it violated antitrust rules

Article Abstract:

Officials at Intel Corp. state that the European Commission has made some incorrect assumptions regarding microprocessor market competitiveness when it concluded that Intel violated antitrust laws. The Commission has stated Intel offered special rebates to computer manufacturers and used other tactics to curb the market share of its rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

EU launches probe of steel sold by China

Article Abstract:

The European Commission is investigating whether China is selling steel at illegally low prices and damaging trade for European steel producers. Europe's steelmakers filed a complaint in October, requesting a 40% surcharge on metallic-coated hot-dipped steel or iron flat-rolled products.

Seeking restitution, government targets Tyco duo's fortunes

Article Abstract:

Dennis L. Kozlowski and Mark H. Swartz formerly of Tyco International Ltd. have been convicted of looting the securities systems company of $150 million. Both Mr. Kozlowski and Mr. Swartz have a long list of assets to be sold in restitution.
