Luxury sites land attention as Hong Kong sells four plots

Article Abstract:

Four prime development sites attracted much of the attention at the Aug 1999 Hong Kong government land auction. Most of the bids for the four choice plots came from small real estate developers eager to invest in safe luxury properties that are targeted at Hong Kong's wealthy set. The winning bidders were Hanvon Development Ltd for the plot on the Peak, USI Holdings Ltd and K Wah International Holdings for the plots at Castle Peak, and Glory Treasure Properties Ltd for the plot on Cheung Chau island.
