Marc Jacobs believes a dynamic partnership needs some alterations

The partnership between Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH Moet Hennessy Loius Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, a designer, are one of the high fashion's great success stories, which resulted in sales of around the 3.5 billion dollars. However, there are tensions erupting inside this partnership, as Messrs. Jacobs and Duffy think their ambitions to develop the Marc Jacobs brand are being hindered by their French partner, LVMH.

Carrefour has plans to sell Japan stores

French-based retailer Carrefour S.A. hopes to make as much as $400 million from the planned sale of its stores in Japan. The company, which is the second-largest retailer in the world, has seen its sales slump and market share decrease due to increased competition in Europe from such rivals as Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
