Matrix Analytic Methods in Queuing Theory

Article Abstract:

Over the last ten years, many matrix analytic techniques for researching stochastic modeling have been developed. Queues, as well as inventory models, are highlighted in this research. Findings of this research are easily adopted to computer implementation. It has led to a reassessment of the theory underlying such stochastic modeling. Probabilistic methods, rather than complex methodology can be used for such analysis. The principal steps in the formation of computer codes for the assessment of stationary interest spreads are illustrated. An algorithmic optic for applied probability research is featured. A mathematical analysis of Markov chains and matrix-geometric stuctures are highlighted.

A finite source retrial queue

Article Abstract:

An investigation was undertaken with regards to a single-server retrial queue with a finite number of sources. The investigation, which involves an extension of past works related to retrial queue, aims to illustrate all main performance characteristics in the aspect of server utilization. It also tries to assess the busy period and the waiting time process of the queuing system.

Analysis of multiserver queues with constant retrial rate

Article Abstract:

An investigation is conducted into multiserver retrial queues, where the time lapse between two successive repeated attempts is seen as independent of the number of customers who are applying for service. A Markovian model is studied in relation to this exercise.
