Models for 1-out-of Q systems with stochastic lead times and expedited ordering options for spares inventory

Article Abstract:

Two types of continous-time cyclic inventory models with stochastic lead times and expedited ordering options are developed and furthered to the reorder point-reorder quantity inventory systems. The extension can be used to determine exactly the inventory control model with two supply modes. Numerical examples have indicated that the uncertainty of the regular lead time markedly affects the inventory policy.
