Olivetti considers spinoff of Telecom Italia Mobile

Article Abstract:

Shares of Olivetti SpA rose 4.9% on the news that Telecom Italia SpA plans to distribute the stock of Telecom Italia Mobile SpA to shareholders when it spins off its cellular business. This supersedes plans to merge TIM with Tecnost SpA, which carries a heavy debt.

Dolphin Telecom sees bond rating reduced by S&P

Article Abstract:

Dolphin Telecom PLC saw its bond rating lowered to triple-C-minus from triple-C by Standard and Poor's. The company will receive $300 million (324.4 million euros) in convertible loans from Telesystem International, its controlling shareholder.

France Telecom plans to sell shares of its Orange unit
