Online realtors link buyers, sellers

Article Abstract:

The task of buying and selling houses in Canada is expected to become easier with the entry of two new online real estate services. The first is Cashback2.com of San Mateo, CA, which will allow real estate agents to obtain information for buyers and sellers through its Web site. Buyers and sellers have to pay a cash-back incentive of 2% of the property price for using its Web site to find an agent. On the other hand, Microsoft's HomeAdvisor.com's Web site will bring together all properties listed with Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Canada, RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic and the Toronto Real Estate Board.

HMV North America vp of marketing Andrew Pollock said its service is not a reaction to piracy but is about how consumers want to receive music. Initially, only 100 albums are available on the site because of coding. Despite the limited number of albums, it will be the largest release of for-sale digital downloads.
