Reorganisation of German electricity takes further stride

Mergers and acquisitions during the first half of 2001 in the utilities sector are discussed. The approval of Swedish company HEW's acquisition of former East German utility VEAG for 1.5 billion euros is causing the German sector to be reorganised.
