Rockwell Collins reports loss due to drop in demand

Rockwell Collins Inc. posted a $48 million loss for the fourth-quarter ending September 30, 2001. The company, which was hurt by falling demand, will also layoff approximately 16% of its workforce.

Boeing posts $478 million loss on write-down

Rockwell profits are up 1.5%
