SIEMENS PLANS TO INTEGRATE ITS INDIAN COMPANIES

Article Abstract:

Siemens AG of Germany proposes to integrate 3 of its Indian group companies to jointly address the large telecom sector in India. The companies that will be integrated are Siemens Public Communications Networks Ltd (SPCNL), Siemens Nixdorf and Siemens Information Systems Ltd (SISL). The combined entity is expected to jointly bid for the tenders of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Department of Defence of the Government of India and State governments. (ag)

BOARD OKAYS MERGER OF BPL AUTOMATION WITH PARENT

Article Abstract:

The board of BPL Ltd has approved the merger of BPL Automation Ltd, a 100 percent subsidiary, with itself effective from August 1, 1998. BPL Automation, which produces injection moulds, plastic moulded components and tools for pressing, punching and stamping, has a paid-up equity capital of Rs5.26 crore. The entire share capital of the company will be cancelled after the merger and there will be no exchange of shares of BPL Ltd. (khr)

MAC AGRO INDUSTRIES TO MERGE WITH SICAL

Article Abstract:

The MA Chidambaram Group has decided to merge MAC Agro Industries with group company South India Corporation (Agencies) Ltd. The group proposes to offer one share of Sical for every three shares of MAC Agro. After the merger Sical would become a diversified corporation with five businesses - logistics, marketing, manufacturing, agro and engineering. The merged entity will have an equity share capital of Rs27.50 crore. (khr)
