Sydney's game plan

Article Abstract:

The year 2000 Olympics will be held in the Homebush district of Sydney, Australia, where work is under way to complete an Olympic-sized stadium, rail link, road improvements and an Olympic Village. Developers have taken into account the history of Homebush by using previous historical buildings sites to build the Olympic facilities. The main Olympic stadium will seat up to 110,000 people, with a retractable roof being used to provide indoor facilities if needed. Some critics have suggested visitors will be deterred from going into Sydney itself due to lack of infrastructure improvements.

It's the game that counts: blue-marlin fishing

Article Abstract:

The blue marlin is considered with special reverence by fishers, who consider it the most challenging of the big-game fishes. Almost all blue marlin fishing is now catch, mark and release. It is an expensive fishing habit to maintain, as it is done in exotic tropical locales.
