Molson Breweries of Canada Ltd has awarded Bensimon Byrne D'Arcy with an advertising contract to handle English-language advertising creative for its flagship Canadian brand on Sep 20, 1999. The search for an agency took four months of review after Molson fired MacLaren McCann of Toronto, the agency that launched the award-winning Molson Canadian 'I AM' campaign to market. Contenders for the account were satisfied with the fair and effective way that Molson conducted its review.

Investors Group invest in group

Article Abstract:

Investors Group of Winnepeg, Manitoba, has awarded its advertising account worth about $10.5 million to a three-agency consortium called Team Investors. The consortium is led by Lanyon Phillips Communications, which is handling the Winnipeg, the financial services company's overall national branding. Bos is in charge with the advertising in Ontario and Quebec, while McKim Communications is handling the advertising in Winnipeg.

Group Telecom rings east

Article Abstract:

Vancouver telecommunications firm Group Telecom (GT) is trying to penetrate the British Columbia market with an aggressive advertising campaign which was launched in mid-January. GT's director of marketing Nora Lacey said their current "Faces" campaign attempts to build awareness and create awareness for the sales force. GT's agency is Bryant Fulton & Shee of Vancouver.
