The buying centre: patterns of structure and interaction in primary health care

Article Abstract:

An operational map of the purchasing function of primary health care organizations shows that organizations selling to primary health care providers should understand the dynamics of of buying groups. Issues of relevance include partnership patterns affecting patterns of interaction between clinicians and managers, users being external to the organization and secondary and tertiary healthcare services substantially influencing involvement patterns and relative power of different stakeholders.

A comparison between Dutch and German retail price setting

Article Abstract:

A one-equation model featuring retail profit margins was used to determine the differences between German and Dutch retail price setting. The comparison was conducted through an econometric approach using extensive datasets for both countries. Results indicate that the difference between the average company size between both countries has led to disparities in the growth of consumer spending and impact of operating costs on retail profit margins.
