Theme: ironmongery, doors and windows

Article Abstract:

Some 82% of the windows of houses built by large developers were made from PVC-u, in 1998, which has led to a decline in use of both hardwood and softwood. Some industry observers have pointed out wooden frames are more environmentally friendly. The European standards for architectural hardware have not been fully approved. Manufacturers may face difficulties if their products do not comply with the standards when they are finally issued. A number of companies have introduced new products, such as the Linido bathroom equipment for the disabled and new door handles from Hoppe.
