Hong Kong carpet manufacturer Tai Ping Carpets International Ltd.'s globalization strategy appears to be working. Profits have increased, and the company generated most of its revenue from outside Asia for the first time last year. Although the company's headquarters are still in Hong Kong, its CEO, James Kaplan, is based in New York, with other top managers in New York, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong airline plans launch

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines is planning to offer flights to London in October starting at 2,000 Hong Kong Dollars ($257.46 United States Dollars). The start-up airlines has lower costs than larger carriers and is confident it can turn a profit.

New infrastructure fund by Macquarie targets Europe
