Turnover rates in Hong Kong may begin to level off

Article Abstract:

Hong Kong turnover rates, which were high last year, will likely level off as a result of the fading Internet start-up craze, a softening in the job market, and the corporate restructuring policies that will focus on employees' needs. Southeast Asian banking group DBS Group Holdings Ltd. has named Philippe Paillart as vice chairman and chief executive officer, Jackson Tai as chief operating officer and president, Ng Kee Choe as vice chairman of its subsidiary, Development Bank of Singapore Ltd., and Kie Cheong as financial director.

Managers in the region can expect to be in the money

Article Abstract:

Chinese senior executives and managers will receive raises of 8%-9% according to an annual survey conducted by Hewitt Associates. While growing businesses such as information technology companies may see raises by as much as 30%, raises will level off for companies that rely heavily on exports to the United States.
