Approximately 40 US companies are listed on the Hamburg Stock Exchange in Germany because their stocks are ignored by US investors. The Hamburg Stock Exchange began offering its new specialty, microcap US stocks, in Jan 2000.

Prudential agrees to buy American General

Article Abstract:

Prudential PLC had planned to purchase U.S.-based American General Corp. for $22.3 billion (Euro23.91 billion) in stock, but investors sent the stock price of the UK insurer down 14%. Insurers did not like the premium that Prudential is paying, roughly 28% above the price the stock last traded before the acquisition was announced.
