World: SIM card market predictions by SchlumbergerSema

Article Abstract:

SchlumbergerSema, which turned over US$ 176mn in SIM cards during the second quarter of 2001, only thanks to the consolidation of CP8 (bought from Bull), otherwise the company would have recorded a 20% decline, remains optimistic. After a stable year in 2001 compared with 2000, SIM cards should return to a 14% growth with 500mn units produced world-wide in 2002 instead of 440mn, SchlumbergerSema believes.
