Yahoo! awaits French judgment in landmark case

Article Abstract:

The article discusses France's Yahoo! case. A French judge is expected to rule on whether the company must block all French users from purchasing all Nazi memorabilia on its auction site. The case will be a landmark one, since it might determine how national jurisdiction applies to the Internet globally and establish a legal precedent for whether countries can demand that their domestic laws be enforced on Web firms with global reach.

Yahoo! is ordered to bar Nazi material; French court demands keyword filter system

U.S. court ruling backs pop-up ads over online sites

Article Abstract:

A U.S. federal judge has ruled that copyright and trademark regulations do not prohibit advertisers from using pop-up ads on Internet sites that are owned by other parties. The ruling represent a setback for website operators who are attempting to keep their monopoly on advertisements on their sites.
