Group tops Bell and AT&T for Pa. telecom contract

Article Abstract:

Adelphia Business Solutions Inc., which is leading a Pennsylvania-based consortium of sixteen companies, has announced the group has obtained a five-year, $228 million state telecommunications contract. The contract, which applies to Internet, data, local-phone, long-distance and video services for state agencies, previously had been held by Bell Atlantic Corp. and AT&T Corp.

Pegasus uses DirecTV to grow in rural areas

Article Abstract:

Pegasus Communications Corp. announced that DirecTV, the largest satellite TV broadcaster in the U.S., would help it gain access to a new group of rural subscribers. The Bala Cynwyd company also said that it would start selling high-speed and dial-up Internet service to customers in rural areas.
