Changes in plasma lipids and lipoproteins following 10-days of prolonged walking: Influence of age and relationship to physical activity level

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the effects of 10 days of prolonged activity on plasma lipids and lipoproteins in healthy young and old participants. Results showed that the older participants are likely to experience more favorable changes in lipids and lipoproteins than the young, as a consequence of lower physical fitness and higher plasma lipid and lipoprotein concentrations.
