EADS reports stellar nine-month results

Article Abstract:

The profits of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS) were 91 percent higher for the first nine months of the 2004 than they were for the same period in 2003, which was mainly due to the military orders. The company is planning to increase its revenue by selling its wares to the Pentagon and is employing a United States subsidiary to comply with Buy American requirements that Congress has imposed on defense procurement officials.

Lockheed Martin names new aeronautics chief

Article Abstract:

Ralph Heath will succeed Dain Hancock as the new executive vice president and president of Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Company. Dain had given four decades of service to the company and contributed outstanding leadership and extraordinary value to the company while Heath had served as aeronautics unit executive vice president and chief operating officer and has progressed through increasingly responsible position in engineering.

Navy test squadron gets Texan II trainer

Article Abstract:

Military's newest primary training plane Raytheon Aircraft's T-64 Texan-II, an airborne part of the Joint Primary Aircraft Training Systems (JPATS) will be used for primary flight training in the Navy. First such plane was received by Patuxent River Naval Air Station, MD to be flown by VX-20, the service's test squadron.
