EMP threat mandates missile shield aimed toward U.S

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corp., Raytheon Co., Boeing Co., and other companies are assembling a multi-layered missile defense shield against ballistic missiles originating in North Korea as well as in the US. Experts on the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) threat have revealed that it could weaken the nationwide electric power grid, computers, cars, communications credit card systems, and also attack the satellites.

EH101 test-landed at naval observatory

Article Abstract:

A militarized version of US101, the future Marine One presidential transport helicopter was test-landed at the Naval Observatory in Washington. The Navy selected the US101, an executive version of the EH101 military helicopter made by the Italian-U.K. Firm Agusta Westland, to be the next Marine One helicopter.
