David Kern, the chief of Kern Consulting has described that the world economy was strong in 2006, but growth might slow markedly in 2007, forcing the central banks to raise interest rates. The upturn in inflation is mild and the global growth is sufficiently robust to withstand moderate increases in interest rates, but a marked global slowdown in 2007 is inevitable.
