JSF assembly going 'almost perfectly' - Lockheed Martin

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corporation has disclosed that the assembly of the first copy of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) has exceeded the expectations of the veteran engineers. The company is anticipating finishing the production of the aircraft by the end of 2005 and conducting a series of ground tests, preparatory to its scheduled flight in the latter half of 2006.

Adm. Enewold: JSF remains OK on weight-issue

Article Abstract:

The program executive officer for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), Rear Adm. Steven Enewold revealed that the program was on target as far as its ongoing weight issues were concerned. The contractors Lockheed Martin and team had to take some 3,000 pounds off the short-takeoff/ vertical landing (STOVL) version of JSF to meet performance requirements.

Lockheed Martin claims US101 'proven' for PRV role

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corp. claims that US101 will be perfect as the Air Force's personnel recovery vehicle (PRV) role. The US101 is based on EH101, which has already performed very well in the Iraqi conflict and other military combat situations.
