Omnicom-backed Razorfish hit with lawsuits
Article Abstract:
Razorfish (RAZF) is facing several class-action lawsuits filed in Dec 2000, alleging that insiders sold a total of 1,215,716 shares of RAZF stock for proceeds of $12,763,815 before revealing the 'truth' about the dot-com. The lawsuits accused RAZF co-founders Craig Kanarick and Jeffrey Dachis of issuing enthusiastic press releases through Business Wire and PR Newswire that falsely described the firm and its future prospects. Currently, RAZF is worth around $1.15 a share, from a high of $56.
