Room for improvement

Article Abstract:

Research has revealed a disquieting reluctance on the part of accounting firms to employ people with disabilities in contravention of the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995. The many ways in which firms, albeit unwittingly, legitimize discrimination are examined and recommendations are provided on how professional accounting bodies can give greater consideration to disabled members.
