Probing the origins of spectroscopies responses to analyte-induced conformational changes in fluorescently-labeled Cod 111 parvalbumin

Article Abstract:

The absorbance and the steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence responses to Ca(sub 2+) induced conformational changes within cod 111parvalbumin (C3P), which was labeled at cystein-18 with the fluorescent probes fluorescein, acrylodan or nitrobenzoxadiazole (NBD) is examined. The two probes produced poor responses indicating the difficulty associated with predicting the behavior of a labeled protein.

Effects of added CO2 on the confrontation of pyrene end-labeled poly(dimethylsiloxane) dissolved in liquid toluene

Article Abstract:

The effects of added CO2 on the tail-tail cyclization and unfolding dynamics of poly(dimethylsiloxane) end-labeled with pyrene (Py-PDMS-Py) dissolved in liquid toluene is determined. The results show that the addition of CO2, an anti-solvent, modulates the PDMS conformation in liquid toluene.

The cybotactic region surrounding fluorecent probes dissolved in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate: effects of temperature and added carbon dioxide

Article Abstract:

The cybotactic region surrounding three solutes dissolved within a [bmim](super +)[PF(sub 6) are measured. At 293 K the local dielectric constant and refractive index are 11.4 (plus or minus) 1.0 and 1.523 (plus or minus) 0.025, respectively.
