The industrial coatings division of BASF is hoping to boost activities in the field of oil and gas pipeline coatings in North America through a new office in Houston, Texas. BASF will offer especially powder coatings, which it will produce in Morganton, North Carolina, from mid-2000.

JAPAN: POWDER COATINGS INVESTMENT BY KUBOKO
Article Abstract:
A powder coatings factory with an annual capacity of 4,000 tonnes is to be built in eastern Japan by Osaka-based Kuboko Paint. Mepco, a subsidiary of Kuboko, already produces powder coatings in a factory in Yodogawa with an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes.
