Reagent-controlled transition-metal-catalyzed radical reactions

Article Abstract:

This review delineates the laws and principles governing radical chemistry and how reagent control is exercised on these reactions. Metal-catalyzed radical reactions using suitable radical precursors generated by the reagent-controlled reactions aid in the transformation of the radical by the addition of carbon-carbon multiple bonds.

Ligand bite angle effects in metal-catalyzed C-C bond formation

Article Abstract:

This review discusses the rate and selectivity of metal-catalyzed reactions as influenced by the bite angle of the bidentate ligands. Data reveal that ligands are involved in the stabilization or destabilization of the reaction intermediates and the bite angle brings about the steric hindrance between the ligand and the substrate.

Synthesis and reactivity of sp(sup)2 geminated organobismetallic derivatives

Article Abstract:

New approaches in organic synthesis have led to minimizing the number of steps involved for achieving efficiency in the synthesis. This review examines such an approach to the synthesis of geminated sp(sup)2 bismetallic derivatives in a single-pot operation and discusses the challenges.
