Sanyo Fisher (USA) Corp displayed a variety of product lines that included its VPC-SX500 digital camera at the Fall Comdex '99 trade show in Las Vegas, NV. The VPC-SX500 captures and playbacks VGA-resolution video clips in motion JPEG (M-JPEG) format. Thus, the video clips recorded by the camera are directly compatible with the QuickTime Format. The VPC-SX500 also employs a three-bus architecture and takes 0.7 seconds to record a 1.5 mega-pixel still image, while the shutter interval is about 0.9 seconds.
