Bendata International's Heat for Windows 3.5

Bendata International's Heat for Windows product is designed for a help desk of 40 users although it can be used by over a hundred users. Its main application is for small-to-medium support operations and for internal IT help-desk functions. However, it can also be used for external customer service. It is priced according to the number of users that it supports. Thus, it costs $27,950 for 10 concurrent users, $66,000 for 50 concurrent users and $96,785 for 200 concurrent users.

Platinum Technology's AutoAnswer V.3.3

Platinum Technology Inc's help desk product AutoAnswer is based on Quintus Corp's HelpQ product, with Platinum's own problem resolution and reporting components. The product offers good process management capability that can be customized. However, it has no independent-based data replication facilities, has weak support for asset management and is supplied with little packaged integration software. AutoAnswer is priced at $20,000 per server, $4,000 per concurrent user.
