Climbing airfare prices justify distance learning

Article Abstract:

Corporations are resorting to distance learning to reduce travel costs. For instance, employees who use the virtual Ziff Davis University can participate in an online class for only $4.95 a month. Usually, companies spend hundreds of dollars in travel, lodging and off-site training for their employees. For Mary Texter, staff manager of Analysts International Corp, distance learning is advantageous since training is done on employee time and on their workstations. She adds that it is quality education where and when employees need it.
