Choices of Japanese patients in the face of disagreement

Article Abstract:

A survey of 307 Japanese hospital patients is discussed assessing their attitudes toward medical care self-determination and how much medical information they would wish to receive if critically ill. Three-quarters thought physicians should routinely ask patients if they would want to be informed of a diagnosis of cancer, while two-thirds thought physicians should tell them of the actual diagnosis, even if the family disagreed.

A new densifying system was released recently. The system combines waste materials into energy cubes as fuel for burning. Coal dust, carbon paper, and grain have been used so far. Atomized water is the only binding aid used in the process. Sixty-six patented dies that are non-tapered are also used in the process.
