Merisel meets resellers half way

Article Abstract:

Merisel Inc has entered into partnership with Compaq Services Corp in launching its Help Desk Services program. Merisel's program allows its resellers to offer better support to their own clients. Under the partnership, Compaq Services will provide applications support covering 200 well-known applications including large manufacturers and home-users. The support options that resellers can choose from are: Calling Card Support and Back Office Support.

Network+ Certification set for 1999

Article Abstract:

The Computing Technology Industry Assn and the Chauncey Group have developed the Network+ Certification program that will determine the competence of computer network technicians. The program is scheduled to have an online beta testing on Jan 1999. The test will examine whether technicians know how to properly install and configure TCP/IP clients and if they can run and maintain computer networks.

Etching virtual learning on the Blackboard

Article Abstract:

Sylvan Learning Systems Inc and Blackboard Inc has agreed on a deal that would allow universities and other educational institutions offering distance learning to conduct secured tests over the Internet. Under the deal, Blackboard Inc will develop a Web-based test delivery system that will allow testers to verify that students were authenticated and proctored during the online exam.
