The Vantive Corp.'s Vantive Helpdesk

Article Abstract:

Software developer Vantive Corp's Vantive HelpDesk software solution accounted for 26% of its server licenses in 1996, while the Vantive Support software solution accounted for 42%. Vantive HelpDesk is used with servers running on a variety of operating platforms, and supports a variety of data bases, such as Informix and Sybase. The Vantive architecture is based on a three-tiered model and relies on network/application servers for performance. Training, consulting and basic/optional technical support services are available for the system.
