Nortel gets down to business; brings Unix systems inhouse

Article Abstract:

Canadian telecommunications equipment manufacturer Northern Telecom Ltd (Nortel) has reduced its overall expenses for hardware maintenance support services by increasing the volume of equipment repaired in-house. The firm is considering extending in-house support services to its smaller systems.
