Tivoli Systems targets service-level management

Article Abstract:

Tivoli Systems Inc has released Tivoli Service Desk 5.0.2, which features a Web-based platform and tight integration with the technology it acquired from Software Artistry. Service Desk is geared towards making internal help desks and IT shops manage their organizations better. It is integrated with Tivoli Enterprise, which offers decision support, inventory, distributed monitoring and software distribution capabilities to the support center environment.

ServiceSoft merges with Balisoft

Article Abstract:

ServiceSoft Corp and Balisoft Technologies have agreed to jointly develop and market Internet customer service applications. The new entity, Servicesoft Technologies, will deliver an integrated CIS solution consisting of self-service applications, e-mail management and collaboration applications. ServiceSoft will contribute its Web-enabled self-service applications, while Balisoft will contribute its strengths in e-mail management.

Inference delivers K-commerce

Inference Corp has launched k-Commerce Support 4.0, a knowledge management software designed to provide answers to problems across the Web, e-mail, call centers and IVR platforms. Nobby Akiha, vice president of marketing, said the product addresses the transformation of the call center into the 'contact center' by allowing users multiaccess options to a company's centralized, singe knowledgebase.
