1996 shipment figures set another HUD-era high

Article Abstract:

The two-month depression in November and December did not prevent manufactured home manufacturers from setting another HUD-Code-era record shipments in 1996. The volume of shipments increased by 7% to 363,411 over 1995 figures, marking the second consecutive year that a record has been set in the HUD-Code era. States that made it to the top 10 in 1995 found themselves again in the top 10 list in 1996, with Texas (39,594) and North Carolina (32,411) leading the roster.
