A hull that's recyclable nearly indestructable

Article Abstract:

Logic Marine of Durham, NC, manufactures a boat that is completely recyclable and almost indestructible. When the boat is retired from active use, the company's patented one-piece hull and boat design permits the boat's parts to be removed, the hull and deck ground up and then reused in a new water vessel. The low-density polyethylene hulls are nearly indestructible, with the capability to endure five times more impact compared to boats made with conventional fiberglass. The process used to manufacture the boats offers some production benefits, one of which is that there is no styrene resin emissions needed to be cleaned up.

Toyota Marine on target with outlets, orders

Article Abstract:

Toyota Marine is on course for a successful entry into the US powerboat business with orders and outlets booked during its first dealers meeting in late July 1998 at Grand Cypress in Orlando, FL. There were 24 dealerships represented at the meeting, not a bad number considering that the company is targeting to sign up 30 dealers. In addition, there were 16 retailers that either signed sales agreements or letters-of-intent with Toyota Marine. Majority of the retailers came away impressed with the company's Epic 21 (closed bow) and Epic 22 (open bow) tournament ski boats, which were unveiled during the meeting.
