ANSI approves edge metal guide

Article Abstract:

SPRI's 'Wind Design Guide for Edge Systems Used with Low-Slope Roofing Systems' has been officially accepted as a standard of the American National Standards Institute. SPRI Edge Detail Subcommittee Chmn John B Hickman said the standard will allow contractors to examine specific criteria when using edge metal flashings or copings with membrane roofing. These roof edge systems are aesthetically pleasing but their integrity have been compromised by severe windstorms in recent years.
