Those who are called upon by a client to act as an expert witness should be aware that remaining balanced and neutral will be in the client's best interests. Expert witnesses must have a very detailed knowledge of their subject and be able to communicate this knowledge to the legal team and the court. It may be advisable to attend a specialized expert witness training course, as this will give a valuable insight into legal procedures and protocol.
