Boater 101 may go national

Article Abstract:

The non-profit Center for Environmental Education and Research Inc has developed a novel, interactive boater education program called Boater101 that may benefit state governments other than that of Florida. Boater101 teaches boating safety and environmental awareness to youth and the community. It encourages the responsible use of the oceans and waterways. The program was first introduced to the Broward County, FL, school district, and is now being implemented in 27 of Florida's 64 counties. Its founders hope to expand the program to a national scope by working with the marine industry.
