Canada Post begins Internet postage pilot program

Article Abstract:

A pilot online postage program has been launched by Canada Post Corp (CPC) with San Mateo, CA-based E-Stamp Corp on Feb 2000. The program is being tested on 30 randomly selected small office/home office (SOHO) customers for a period of six weeks. The online postage program project was launched by CPC as part of its drive to simplify the shipping and mailing process for Canada's SOHO businesses numbering more than a million.

Canada Post revamps NCOA form

Article Abstract:

Canada Post Corp. began distribution of a new Change of Address (NCOA) Notification form in the first week of July 2004 where a checkbox in the form would let the movers opt out if they do not want their addresses included in the change-of-address program. The Canadian mailing industry hoped that this would balance privacy issues and business needs.
