Hello Direct Inc, a marketer of telephone accessories, is offering its print catalog on its Web site, HelloDirect.com, in hopes of cutting cost. The Web site allows visitors to download the full catalog or choose page ranges in PDF formats. Visitors will also be able to link from those pages to its onlnine store. Hello Direct mails 30 million catalogs a year and hopes that its online initiative will cut mailing costs by 5%.

Doll seller's site makes marketing magic

Magic Cabin Dolls' site, www.magiccabindolls.com has generated nearly $10,000 in sales since its debut in Sep 2000. The company's first e-mail provides a sneak peek into the merchandise to be offered in the holiday book, along with links to the corresponding Web page. It is expected to reach 1 million homes during the holiday season. Magic Cabin Dolls' parent, The Childrens Group also plans on sending a grand-opening e-mail announcing tthe Magic Cabin Dolls site to its HearthSong e-mail file.
