Tired of waiting, dealers unveil ads

Article Abstract:

Boat dealers have taken the initiative to launch their own national advertising campaign instead of waiting for manufacturers to do so. During the Marine Retailers Assn of America's annual convention in Chicago, IL, the trade organization unveiled an advertising program called Advertising Power Tools. The program, which was created by Toronto, Ontario-based Axon Studios, offers dealers a choice of two multimedia advertising campaigns.

The boating company Chris - Craft Industries Inc. has spent two years reinventing and rebuilding the image as a premium boats brand is now strengthening the dealership base. The company is encouraging dealers to open mono brand dealerships with an offer of three years contract and helps them in setting up shop.

Is e-commerce the wave of the future?

Article Abstract:

Boat retailers are being urged to begin making their presence felt on the Internet. Panelists at an e-commerce seminar held at the International Marine Trades Exhibit and Conference in Aug 1999, pointed out that the rate by which everybody is gaining access to a computer ensures that online purchasing will be the way of future transactions. They are advising marine retailers to get online early or be left behind.
