Compaq adds vendors for ZLE campaign

Article Abstract:

Compaq Computer Corp has entered into agreements with nine software vendors to market its Zero Latency Enterprise (ZLE) initiative which is aimed at providing businesses with a real-time view of customer contact and giving them access to customer information from all areas of the company. The ZLE initiative's core services include work flow management, analytics and data mining. Compaq is also launching a multimillion-dollar marketing program for ZLE that will include advertising, press and analyst relations and customer testimonials.

First piece mails in GE, Reader's Digest alliance

Article Abstract:

GE Long Term Care Insurance and Reader's Digest Association Inc have mailed their first direct mail campaign which is part of a marketing alliance. San Rafael, C-based GE Long Term Care Insurance will market its portfolio of products and plans to the more than 22 million people 50 and older within the Reader's Digest database. Under the deal, GE will provide its products and services through a number of mediums including direct mail, a co-branded Web site and print ads within the magazine to Reader's Digest database.

UIT, Kodak combine Web technologies

Article Abstract:

Los Angeles, CA-based United Internet Technologies (UIT) and Eastman Kodak have reached an agreement in which clients will be able to use UIT's divo Internet Video Technology and Kodak's Programmable CD-ROM Technology simultaneously. The companies will market the technologies initially to Fortune 500 companies. Kodak Programmable CD-ROM Technology combines a stamped CD-ROM and a recordable CD. The disc can be personalized.
